We offer exceptional appointment flexibility, including before school, after school, and Friday afternoon appointments. Our Lethbridge orthodontist does all the work on each patient, at every visit. Downtown Orthodontics uses Damon System products for all treatments, and we also use a system of instrument sterilization that checks and guarantees that every instrument has been properly sterilized before use. About Our Orthodontist
Dr. Tkach attended the University of Alberta and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry before entering dental school. Following the completion of dental school, Dr. Tkach practiced general dentistry for two years before entering the Orthodontic Graduate Program at the University of Alberta. He completed his orthodontic education in 1993 and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Sciences. He began practicing orthodontics in Lethbridge in the fall of 1993. Downtown Orthodontics opened in 2005 after Dr. Tkach relocated the practice to its current 3rd Avenue location.

Emergencies
Please call the office immediately if you suspect that you have a problem with your braces, such as any of the following difficulties:
- If something looks unusual
- If something feels different
- If a wire has come out of position
- If a bracket has broken
- If you think something else has gone wrong
Please do not come to the office without calling first, as we may not have sufficient time to correct your problem. We can conveniently repair almost all problems outside of school hours if you can notify the office as soon as you realize a problem exists.

Book an Appointment
We strive to offer clients the widest possible selection of appointment opportunities, so that they may miss the smallest amount of school, work, and other personal activities. Some longer appointments, such as placing braces, initial consultations, and removing braces occur earlier in the day. This is so we may offer afternoon visits for ongoing treatments, repairs and emergencies. However, we will make every effort to accommodate a request for a specific appointment time. We offer Friday afternoon visits every week, so our clients may have their visits when there is no school! If you are in a hurry, Dr. Tkach can often see a new patient for a consultation within two days, and we can have your braces in place within a week. Contact us to book your appointment today.
